Proxitane^®

Commercial peracetic acid products consist of an equilibrium mixture of acetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, peracetic acid and water, together with stabilisers. Solvay manufacture and sell peracetic acid as a range of products under the tradenames, Proxitane^® and Oxystrong^® .  Peracetic acid can also be formulated with other additives such as surfactants, thickeners and perfumes to meet specific requirements. These products are sold under tradenames such as Proxitane^® AHC. Proxitane^® products have minimal impact on the environment, decomposing after use to readily biodegradable species.

Perestane^®

Solvay has a new peracid dinfectant called Perestane^® . This is an equilibrium mixture of mixed acids and peracids, hydrogen peroxide, and water, together with stabilisers. Perestane^® is a rapid acting oxidising biocide with a slightly fruity odour. It is particularly suitable for applications involving open handling. Perestane^® is an effective biocide and can be formulated to provide the desired performance benefits in many uses. The formulations can be thickened, coloured and perfumed. Perestane^® has minimal impact on the environment, decomposing after use to readily biodegradable species.
